Best Tourism Project Implemented within the Tourist Board Network
Small Giants Water Wins the national Simply the Best Award
Small Giants Water is the recipient of the national annual Simply the Best award in the category of New Tourism Project Implemented within the Tourist Board System. The award, recognizing creativity, innovation, and the development and enhancement of a destination’s tourism offer, is presented by the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies and the PUT Tourism Exchange.

Third Award in Two Years
The award was presented on April 14, 2026, at a special ceremony on the island of Cres. This recognition further confirms the importance and success of the initiative, marking its third award in a row.

It is worth noting that this award was preceded by two others since the initiative’s founding: a Bronze Award for Design at Ideja X and a global Gold award for sustainability communication, the IPRA Golden World Awards.

Second Anniversary Marked by the Month of Water
On World Water Day, March 22, Small Giants Water celebrated its second anniversary, transforming the entire month of March into the Month of Water and dedicating it to promoting the initiative’s goals at all levels. In addition to its regular activities, the initiative was also presented to Croatian travel agencies—members of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies—and brought together a network of 13 schools across the county, along with the Polytechnic in Šibenik.
Proud of these recognitions, the Small Giants Water team emphasizes that the core idea can deliver real results only if it is genuinely embraced within the local community—where it can continue to live, grow, and evolve.

Drinking tap water as a Superbrand
In a relatively short time, Small Giants Water has grown from a campaign into a strategic pillar of destination branding and management.
The initiative has evolved into a broader social movement focused on raising awareness about the importance of water and preserving local identity. The emphasis is on creating an emotional connection between residents and their region, thereby fostering responsibility, a sense of belonging, and long-term care for the environment.
